Many larger islands have airports on them, which allow for connections to Athens or any key European city.
Athens is located in the south of Greece. However, it’s quite crowded and polluted but that doesn’t stop countless visitors from taking in the sights. There is a major landmark in the city that dominates it. It’s called the Parthenon. Thessaloniki, located in the north, is a modern city that has some Byzantine culture to it.
